EPS
An EPS file contains your logo in a vector graphic form. This means that you can make it as big or as small as you need without compromising print quality. This file is unlocked so if at any time in the future you need to change your logo you will have everything you need.
EPS format is used in the following printing mediums:
- Stationary & Business Cards
- Signs & Billboards
- Brochures & Flyers
- Ads
- Packaging
- Direct marketing & Postcards
- Vehicle graphics
- Embroidered & Silk screen
- Some Microsoft Office Programs
JPG and GIF
A jpeg format is perfect for use on the internet. The quality is optimized to be viewed on your screen, and the image is compressed to enable very fast download times. As a result of the typical screen optimization that is common in the jpeg format, jpeg images cannot be enlarged without losing quality.
The gif, like the jpeg is also optimized for on-screen viewing. The gif file also enables transparent backgrounds that will enable your logo to look good regardless of which color the background of the page (or word processor document) is.
The JPG and GIF formats are useful for the following mediums.
- Website
- Email Marketing
- Email Templates
- Signatures
- Embedding in Office Programs
TIFF
The tiff format is used in the printing of books. Like EPS, it is a very high resolution format, but it is stored as a bitmap and not a vector format. If you want to ensure that your logo looks exactly as you created it, you will want to send the high resolution TIFF file. This is also the most compatible file format and can be processed by all modern image software
